12/28/2023 0 Comments Dino squad blaster![]() Aside from that the Stego is a nice beginner gun and a child as young as 4 or 5 should have no issues using it. The location works and makes for a speedy reload. STEGO-SMASH ADDITIONAL FEATURESĪdditional features include a 4 dart ammo storage that’s located just below the barrel. There is absolutely nothing complicate about this Nerf gun. It’s a front load blaster with a pull handle primer. Of the Dino blasters we’ve discussed, the Stego-Smash is the simplest of the them to operate. It just so happens this gun has all the features discussed in that article. These features make it easier for younger children to use the blasters without the need for help. ![]() You can read the article here if you’d like “ How to chose a Nerf gun for a small child“. Some time back I wrote an article and the emphasis was on Nerf gun features to look for while shopping for small children. THE EASIEST DINO BLASTER IN THE SERIES TO OPERATE ![]() Looking through some of the reviews at a number of different retailers and it was interesting to see the number of 6 and 7 year old children that received these guns as gifts. As a child matures, so does their interests and in this case it would be towards the tactical aspects of the blaster and away from the dinosaur theme. Perhaps I’m putting to much thought into this but as a parent myself I see a Nerf gun dinosaur inspired toy making more sense in the hands of a 6 year old. When you shop for a child of a certain age you typically go to the section of toys that are appropriate for that age demographic. Any child of any age that’s capable of operating the guns are welcome to enjoy them but that alone doesn’t answer the question.Ī great example of this in action would be a grandparent that’s on the hunt for a gift idea and unintentionally overlooks this series as an option. Would these Dino Nerf guns be more successful if they were marketed to the 6+ age demographic similar to the Assembler Gear series? Of course a recommended age is exactly what it implies (a suggestion). MARKETING DINO NERF GUNS TO A YOUNGER DEMOGRAPHIC I do think that they’re age appropriate, however when you dig a little further into the series it does raise some interesting questions. The blasters are easy to operate and aside from a shortage of tactical features they’re well designed. Overall I like the concept and they continue to get awesome customer reviews. The Stego-Smash on the other hand speaks for itself. The Rex-Rampage is very close in design to the Stryfe and the Tricera-Blast shares a lot of the same features as the SledgeFire. Underneath all the dinosaur you will quickly notice similarities in design to existing Nerf guns. What’s not to like? DINO NERF GUN SIMILARITIES Each gun is modeled after a specific species. If you’re not yet familiar with these Dino Nerf guns, it’s a family of themed blasters that uses dinosaurs as their design inspiration. DinoSquad Nerf guns where released in the early part of 2021 but it took this series a little while to gain momentum.
